According to scientific research, hemp oil is the most complete and most effective natural oil used in cosmetics. It is the only vegetal oil with an ideal ratio of omega-3 and omega-6. Its profile is close to the natural lipids found in the skin, making it a quick-penetrating dry oil.
Essential Fatty Acids
Hemp oil has a superior profile in EFA (Essential Fatty Acids). It is therefore very close to the natural lipids of the skin. In topical application, it brings to the skin its essential components. This is how it increases the retention of moisture.
Present in large quantities in hemp oil, EFAs compensate for free radical aggression by structuring the cell membrane and forming a fundamental reserve for the cell. It is these same free radicals that are responsible for aging skin. By their oxidative action, they shower the cells with saturated fatty acids. Some free radicals are generated by our body, others are imported by our food, pollution, the sun. They alter the structure of the cell membrane, causing wrinkles, loss of elasticity and fragility of the skin tissue.
The proteins used in hygiene products are traditionally derived from collagen or keratin. However, plant-derived proteins are now recognized as being more easily assimilated by skin cells.
We use Quebec hemp oil in all our CHANV product line. This oil is rich in vitamin E and therefore promotes the transport of essential oils. In addition, our essential oils are of superior quality and adapted to the need of each treatment. Our favorite, the precious essential oil of Italian Helichrysum, is found in some of our products since it has the desired effects on most skin disorders.
